We compete on trust. So we collect the least we can, we keep your identity out of it, and the drill works fully even if you block everything on this page.
Your progress
Your drill handle, streak, and answer history are stored in this browser, on your device, not on our server. If you download a progress file, it is a plain JSON file that only you hold. Importing it on another device is the only way your state moves anywhere.
How we count visits
We count visits with cookieless, aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics): no cookies, no personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking.
How we measure the drill
We use PostHog to understand how the drill is used: which questions are hard, whether accuracy improves, where our audience is. It is pseudonymous. Events are keyed to your random handle, never to your name or email. We read an approximate city and region from your IP address for geography, then the IP is discarded; we do not store it. PostHog stores its id in this browser, not in a cookie, and we run no ad trackers. If you block analytics, every part of the drill still works.
The drill never requires your email. After your first drill we show one optional email box for a pre-exam check-in; skip it and nothing changes. If you choose to add your email, it is stored with our email provider (Kit) and used only to send that check-in. Your email is never attached to your usage data, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Feedback
If you send feedback, the email field is optional and exists only so we can reply. We do not store IP addresses or user agent strings beyond what our hosting provider’s server logs require, which are rotated on a short schedule.
