Which technique should a remote pilot use to scan for traffic?

ASystematically focus on different segments of the sky for short intervals.
BConcentrate on relative movement detected in the peripheral vision area.
CContinuously scan the sky from right to left.

Why →The FAA recommends a systematic segmented scanning technique where the pilot focuses on different areas of the sky for 1-2 seconds each. The human eye detects relative motion best when focused directly, not in the peripheral field.

The trap →Peripheral vision is great for detecting sudden large movements but poor for spotting small, distant aircraft. Relying on peripheral scanning is the natural but wrong instinct.

Field note →Divide the sky into roughly 10-degree blocks. Pause 1-2 seconds in each block before moving on. Focus specifically above, at, and below your drone's altitude band.
