⚖ Airspace · § 107.51(c) and (d)Q-059 · 59 of 251

Under 14 CFR Part 107, what are the minimum weather requirements for sUAS operations in any airspace class?

Why →
Under § 107.51(c) and (d), minimum visibility is 3 statute miles from the control station and cloud clearance is 500 feet below and 2,000 feet horizontal from clouds. Unlike manned VFR minimums, Part 107 uses the same requirements in all airspace classes. There are no reduced minimums in Class G.
The trap →
Manned VFR minimums vary by airspace class. Class G below 1,200 AGL requires only 1 SM and clear of clouds. Part 107 has UNIFORM minimums across all classes. Don't apply manned aviation variable minimums to Part 107.
