Which of the following best describes "maximum gross weight" for a small UAS?

Why →
Maximum gross weight (also called maximum takeoff weight or MTOW) is the maximum total weight at which the aircraft may safely operate. This includes the airframe, motors, battery, camera, gimbal, and any other attached payload. Exceeding it risks structural failure and degraded controllability.
The trap →
Empty weight (without battery or payload) is a much lower number. The weight of the heaviest payload alone ignores the aircraft itself. Maximum gross weight is the ALL-UP weight at takeoff. Everything.
